General description
The UCC3895 is a phase-shift PWM controller thatimplements control of a full-bridge power stage byphase shifting the switching of one half-bridge withrespect to the other. The device allows constantfrequency pulse-width modulation in conjunction withresonant zero-voltage switching to provide highefficiency at high frequencies. The part is used eitheras a voltage-mode or current-mode controller.While the UCC3895 maintains the functionality of theUC3875/6/7/8 family and UC3879, it improves on thatcontroller family with additional features such asenhanced control logic, adaptive delay set, andshutdown capability. Because the device is built usingthe BCDMOS process, it operates with dramaticallyless supply current than it's bipolar counterparts. TheUCC3895 operates with a maximum clock frequencyof 1 MHz.
