General description
The UCC27524 device is a dual-channel, high-speed,low-side, gate-driver device capable of effectivelydriving MOSFET and IGBT power switches. TheUCC27524 adds the ability to handle –5V directlyat the input pins for increased robustness. TheUCC27524 is a dual non-inverting driver. Usinga design that inherently minimizes shoot-throughcurrent, the UCC27524 is capable of deliveringhigh-peak current pulses of up to 5A source and5A sink into capacitive loads along with rail-to-raildrive capability and extremely small propagationdelay typically 17ns. In addition, the drivers featurematched internal propagation delays between the twochannels which are very well suited for applicationsrequiring dual-gate drives with critical timing, such assynchronous rectifiers. This also enables connectingtwo channels in parallel to effectively increase currentdrive capability or driving two switches in parallelwith a single input signal. The input pin thresholdsare based on TTL and CMOS compatible low-voltagelogic, which is fixed and independent of the VDDsupply voltage. Wide hysteresis between the high andlow thresholds offers excellent noise immunity.
