General description
The MIC28514 is an adjustable frequency,synchronous buck regulator that features a uniqueadaptive on-time control architecture. The MIC28514operates over an input supply range of 4.5V to 75V, andprovides a regulated output of up to 5A of outputcurrent. The output voltage is adjustable down to 0.6Vwith an accuracy of ±1%.
Hyper Speed Control architecture allows for an ultra-fasttransient response, while reducing the output capacitance, and also makes high-VIN/low-VOUT operationpossible. This adaptive on-time control architecturecombines the advantages of fixed frequency operationand fast transient response in a single device.The MIC28514 offers a full suite of features that ensurethe protection of the Integrated Circuit (IC) during Faultconditions. These features include Undervoltage Lockout (UVLO) to ensure proper operation under power sagconditions, soft start to reduce inrush current, "Hiccup"mode short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown.
