General description

The MP2451 is a high frequency (2MHz) stepdown switching regulator with integratedinternal high-side high voltage power MOSFET.It provides single 0.6A (or less) highly efficientoutput with current mode control for fast loopresponse.The wide 3.3V to 36V input rangeaccommodates a variety of step-downapplications in automotive input environment. A3μA shutdown mode quiescent current allowsuse in battery-powered applications.High power conversion efficiency over a wideload range is achieved by scaling down theswitching frequency at light load condition toreduce the switching and gate driving losses.Frequency fold-back helps prevent inductorcurrent runaway during start-up. Thermalshutdown provides reliable, fault-tolerantoperation.The MP2451 is available in the cost-effectiveSOT23-6 and TSOT23-6 packages.
