General description

The CPC3909 is an N-channel, depletion mode FieldEffect Transistor (FET) that is available in anSOT-223 package (CPC3909Z) and an SOT-89package (CPC3909C). Both utilize IXYS IntegratedCircuits Division's proprietary third-generationvertical DMOS process that realizes world class,high voltage MOSFET performance in an economicalsilicon gate process. The vertical DMOS processyields a highly reliable device, particularly foruse in difficult application environments such astelecommunications, security, and power supplies.CPC3909Z and the CPC3909C have a typicalon-resistance of 4.5 and a drain-to-source voltageof 400V. As with all MOS devices, the FET structureprevents thermal runaway and thermally inducedsecondary breakdown.
